Disney Planes Printable Projects

Disney Planes is in theaters now.  Have you had a chance to experience all the high flying fun?  Now you can keep the Disney Planes fun going with these cool printable activity sheets.   Use the Jolly Wrenches Squadron stencil to make a fun Planes shirt for the kiddies!  Stay tuned for a tutorial - I'll be making one this week! 

Minnie Mouse Pajamas

I'm all about sporting Disney themed clothes and PJ's when were on vacation.   Who am I kidding?!   I'm all about Disney clothes anytime, even when we're not on vacation and I'm totally obsessed with Mickey & Minnie ears and the little Mickey head icon.  So when I saw these pajamas, I knew I had to have them. The tank can even be uses as a top (as long as you layer it over another tank - it's a little see through)  Still cute and only $7.00 bucks on clearance.  I love a great Disney deal!

Utz Disney Planes Pretzel Snacks

Check out these fun Disney Planes shaped pretzels from Utz.  I've spotted these at Wal-Mart & Target and couldn't pass up buying them for the boys.   They're great for on the go snacking and school lunches.

Each individual bag features Dusty or El Chupacabra and the pretzels are shaped like little planes too.

Darth Vader Women's Shirt

How cute is this pink Darth Vader shirt I found?!  This beauty was only $7.50 at my local Wal-Mart.   The super soft, pink cotton shirt has black glitter graphics on the front.  It's great for any Star Wars loving girl!

Lowe's Build & Grow - Build El Chupacabra from Disney's Planes

All summer long, Lowe's Build and Grow has partnered with Disney to feature building kits from Toy Story, Monsters University and the new Disney movie Planes.   If you haven't had a chance to check out their free workshops, there's still time to sign up to for their last one.   Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th kids will have a change to build El Chupacabra from the new Disney movie Planes.

The workshop is free and in addition to the building kit, kids will receive and apron, googles, patch and certificate for completing the project.  We've been to all of them and they are a lot of fun.  You have to register to reserve a kit for your child and spots fill up fast!   Visit http://www.lowesbuildandgrow.com/pages/default.aspx to check availability at a Lowe's near you.

Minnie Mouse as LOVE Magazine Autumn/Winter 2013 Cover Girl

One of Disney's most beloved stars, Minnie Mouse is the first cartoon character to appear on the cover of LOVE. Inspired by Minnie Mouse's enduring cultural influence and iconic style, LOVE's Editor-in-Chief Katie Grand asked Minnie Mouse to make her debut fashion cover alongside some of the world's most sought-after models, showcased in bespoke Minnie Mouse ears created by leading luxury fashion houses.

To be fully revealed in print on 29th July 2013, Minnie Mouse will star as one of a cover series that includes five of the greatest contemporary models: Edie Campbell, Cara Delevigne, Georgia May Jagger, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Chiharu Okungi. Recruited to interpret the celebrated silhouette of Minnie Mouse's ears and bow with bespoke designs were Gucci, Loewe, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Jake and Dinos Chapman for Louis Vuitton.

"As work began on this issue, that famous Herb Ritts shot of Madonna popped up on my Instagram feed, the one where she's in bed wearing the Minnie Mouse ears," describes Editor-in-Chief Katie Grand. "There was something about that look – knowing, but genuine, and genuinely sweet – that got me thinking. I've always been a big fan of Minnie's style, that polka-dot bow and dress. So we set about getting my favourite models in Minnie Mouse ears that had been interpreted by the likes of Miu Miu and Jake and Dinos Chapman for Louis Vuitton. But that wasn't enough: we had to get Minnie Mouse herself in on the act too."

Accompanying the launch of The Sweetie Issue, a playful interactive app will be available to download from iTunes, and the LOVE website will showcase Grand's interpretation of the world of Minnie Mouse.

These designer Minnie Mouse ears are amazing!  What fashionista wouldn't want to have any of these beauties in their closet?
